On October 15, 2026, I took part in the WordPress Campus Connect Pontevedra 2026, held at the Faculty of Communication of the University of Vigo, in Pontevedra. Campus Connect is an official programme of the WordPress community aimed at university students: in a single morning they attend talks by professionals and take part in a hands-on workshop where they learn to create their own online presence. This edition was also the prelude to WordCamp Galicia 2026, held in A Coruña the following days.
After the talks by Ana Cirujano (“Diseño en WordPress con IA: de la idea a la interfaz”) and Javier Tiniaco (“De ‘creo que funciona’ a ‘sabemos que funciona’”), I gave a workshop titled “Crea tu web en WordPress desde cero” (Create your website with WordPress from scratch). It was aimed at people with no previous technical knowledge, and the goal was that everyone left with their own site published: setting up the site, choosing a design that fits the project, adding pages and content, and getting familiar with the basic tools of the editor, so they can keep improving it on their own.
