On May 7, 2026, I took part in the WordPress Campus Connect at Liceo La Paz, in A Coruña. Campus Connect events bring WordPress and open source into schools, and this one was aimed at vocational training students of Web Application Development (DAW) and Multiplatform Application Development (DAM).
Together with Carlos Longarela, I gave a workshop titled “WordPress desde cero. Da primeira entrada á túa tenda en liña con WooCommerce” (WordPress from scratch: from your first post to your online store with WooCommerce). The students already had a WordPress.com site and a .blog domain, so the goal was to give them a map of what they can do with it: the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, installation and basic settings, themes, essential plugins, posts and pages, user roles and security. The last part was about WooCommerce: products, payments, shipping zones, taxes and orders.
